"Anxiety is something everyone experiences at times, and feeling anxious is a perfectly natural reaction to some situations."

Anxiety will be different for everyone, but below are some of symptoms you may relate to if you have anxiety:

  • Nervousness that is unexplained

  • Constant worrying

  • teeth grinding

  • Feeling dizzy

  • Difficulty sleeping

  • Irrational or intrusive thoughts

  • Palpitations

  • Difficulty breathing / shortness of breath

  • Feeling nauseous

If you are feeling anxious - you may be feeling things are more dangerous than they actually are.

One of the ways our minds are wired to protect us is through the 'fight, flight or freeze' reaction.  If our brains perceive a threat or danger, it releases hormones to prepare us to run away, fight, or freeze. These hormones include adrenaline and cortisol, and they make us feel more vigilant of what’s happening. They also make our hearts beat faster, so blood is sent where it’s needed the most when we’re under attack.

Sometimes, when the fear stops, the symptoms still continue.  We then become afraid of the symptoms, and ultimately, we have a fear of fear and start to experience the symptoms when there is nothing to be afraid of.  If left untreated, General Anxiety Disorder can become chronic and may lead to Panic Attacks and take over one's life.

Many people with anxiety experience symptoms of more than one type of anxiety condition and It's important to seek support early if you're experiencing anxiety.  There are different types of anxiety, the most common are:

  • General Anxiety Disorder

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Panic Disorder

  • Phobic Disorder

Hypnosis is very relaxing and can help reduce some of the symptoms and increase a feeling of general well-being.  Using the power of suggestion, hypnosis aims to access your subconscious mind and promote positive change.

We use a variety of techniques from NLP, to anchoring and teaching you self-hypnosis that you can use at home, work or wherever you are. We explore where your feelings of depression/anxiety first originated from and deal with it by using regression and inner healing work.   Once they have been uncovered and properly dealt with, the symptoms can fade away as they no longer have anything driving them.

The sessions themselves can be tailored to help you learn what triggers your anxiety and why, as well as changing the way you react towards them.  Each session is very individualised and tailored to you and your needs.
