PURE HYPNOSIS | ONLINE SESSIONS AVAILABLE | HYPNOTHERAPY IN LEICESTER

WHAT IS NAIL BITING?

Nail biting is a very common habit, but when done compulsively, it is a body focused repetitive disorder.

Nail biting is a disorder within the obsessive compulsive spectrum.  This kind of habit is created by the subconscious as a way to deal with boredom, stress and anxiety.  Unfortunately, this has a negative impact and causes more feelings of stress or anxiousness rather than alleviate them.

HOW HYPNOTHERAPY CAN HELP YOU STOP BITING YOUR NAILS

Hypnosis can help you unlearn your negative habits

The habit of biting your nails is stored in your subconscious and reinforced every time you engage with the habit.  Hypnotherapy can help by accessing your subconscious and make positive suggestions to help replace the habit or distract you away from the habit - for example, you could lightly file your nails instead of biting them, or use a stress ball instead to relieve your feeling of stress or anxiousness.

Hypnotherapy can also help you understand why you bite your nails and work with any past experiences that contribute to your nail biting.  Our hypnotherapy sessions will increase your confidence and give you the determination to go through the process of your nails growing back and enjoy the reward of having nice nails you no longer feel ashamed of.

“Everyone is born with confidence. Hypnotherapy works by pulling the confidence from you that is already there. After all, everyone is born with confidence; it is just the things that happen in life that either help this confidence to grow or disappear.”
